Hello Adventurers,
Today I'm introducing a wonderful book called The Giving Tree written and illustrated by the gifted and versatile Shel Silverstein. I remember when my parents use to read the story to me when I was younger and the story has been the most remember able children book, I personally experience in my lifetime so far. The Giving Tree is a tender, with a touch of sadness story about how far one is willing to give up something for the one that they love. I find this children book inspiring and appropriate for all ages because the main concept is love and the relationships one person has. The story, the giving tree, starts off with a boy and a tree. Everyday the boy would come see the tree and swing on her branches, or slide down her trunk...and the tree was happy. But as the boy grew older he began to want more from the tree, and the tree gave and gave and gave. Overall all the book has a wonderful message, illustrated beautiful with simple colors such as greens, black, white and reds and its well created. The Giving Tree is a common book that can be easily be found at a local library or book store. Overall The Giving Tree is an enjoyable storybook that you and your child can enjoy together. Please share your comments below about the book. Until next time, this, was Mrs. McCoy personal book recommendations. Hello follow adventurers, this is Mrs. McCoy personal book recommendation, today I would like to introduce the children storybook Kitten’s First Full Moon. Kitten’s First Full Moon was published in March 2, 2004 by author and illustrator Kevin Henkes. Winner of an a Caldecott Medal, Kitten’s First Full Moon is in my top ten favorite children stories for its beautiful art, a loveable character rhythms, and appealing sounds. Kitten’s first full Moon is about a young kitten that goes on an adventure to find the “bowl of milk” in the sky. I found that this book is relatable to students in my classroom due to the fact students and the main character, the kitten, share similar personality and challenges of childhood. All children are unique in their own ways, but something that every child shares in the art of exploring the world and asking question similar to the kitten. Another reason that this book is popular with teachers and families is also follows school curriculum and common core standards. Kitten’s First Full Moon is a common book that can be easily find in your local library. Overall Kitten’s First Full Moon is an enjoyable storybook that you and your child can enjoy together.
